The Canadian dollar had an indifferent week as it gained slightly against the sterling but lost 1% to its North American cousin. The trade balance figures on Tuesday disappointed as the books once again showed a deficit when it was expected to show a surplus for the first time since December 2014.
Today Canadian employment data is due; this is expected to show a positive change. However, last month’s target was missed, and the same could happen today.
