Join us for our annual bike riding adventure on Friday 27th June as we raise funds in support of Solidarity Sports.

Whether you’re a keen cyclist or a complete novice, we’ve created two routes with something in them for everyone. Whichever route you decide on, we’ll start and end the day at the same spot near our Hammersmith office, where you’re more than welcome to store your belongings during the ride.

The first option, which is for intermediate riders and requires a road bike, follows much of the London 2012 Olympic route, travelling into Surrey and around Box Hill in a 60-mile loop.

The second option is less demanding and allows cyclists to explore London and its Olympic heritage over the course of 25 scenic miles. We’ll take in major landmarks along safe streets with protected cycle paths – perfect for first-timers!

We’ll provide each rider with a jersey and guides from the London Cycle Workshop and Where My Wheels Go will escort us to ensure there aren’t too many bumps along the road.

Cap off your day with a well-earned meal on us when we return to London.

It will be a reasonably early start, so make sure to set those alarms to make the most of the day! Whichever route you choose, we’re sure you’ll have a great experience.

Why the ride?

Solidarity Sports is our local partner charity. It brings under-privileged children from our local community together in sporting and social activities to promote health and happiness.

Smart Currency has been working with Solidarity Sports since 2017. We were their first official corporate sponsor, or “memory maker”. Last year we contributed to their record-breaking £50,000 Cost-of-Living Crisis Appeal and we hope you’ll join us in contributing to their fantastic work.

Whether you consider yourself a casual cyclist or “King of the Mountains”, we welcome those of all cycling abilities to take part.

There will be support on the day from the team, with guides to chaperone you and mechanics on hand if needed. Plus, you’ll receive a Smart Currency lycra racing top to commemorate the event and cause.

As the cycle ride is in support of Solidarity Sports and the brilliant work they do for disadvantaged children, we want to give them a donation to remember.

Smart Currency pledges to donate £50 for every rider who joins and we also encourage all riders to donate the equivalent amount (or more!) to aid this wonderful cause.
